The Council of the European Union has published Council Implementing Regulation (EU) No. 193/2012 which amends Council Regulation (EC) No. 560/2005 in respect of sanctions against Ivory Coast. Entries in Annex 1 and 1A to Regulation 560/2005 have been amended, and 63 individuals have been removed from Annex 1A.

Annex 1 to Regulation 560/2005 lists persons and entities who are subject to asset freezes. Annex 1A lists persons and entities covered by provisions freezing funds and economic resources. The individuals removed from Annex 1A are therefore no longer subject to these provisions.

Full details of the EU sanctions currently in force against Ivory Coast can be found on the UK Treasury website.
